In a scene based on “The Cat and the Claw”, Batman tangles for the first time with the notorious Catwoman in a battle on the streets of Gotham Cath. This limited edition cel was created to capture a key pose of Batman in a special scene. Created in 1993 at the famed Warner Bros. Animation studio, the original drawing was hand-inked and the master ink line was transferred to a clear acetate (‘cel’) using the serigraph process. In traditional animation system the cels were then flipped over and expertly hand-painted. The dark, mood-setting background was created specifically for this cel by the same artist that produce Batman: The Animated Series. The backgrounds are reproduced using a four colour lithography process. Each piece is hand numbered and stamped with the Warner Bros. This piece is #99 from an edition of only 500 world wide. Gallery Store in London, England and has been kept in a pet-free, smoke-free, climate controlled environment. Cel is accompanied by certificate of authenticity.
