YOU’LL BE SMILING FROM EAR TO EAR WHEN YOU BRING HOME EVERYONE’S FAVORITE CANINE DETECTIVE TO JOIN YOUR ANIMATION COLLECTION! SO THE NEXT TIME SOMEONE YELLS SCOOBY-DOOBY, DOO, WHERE ARE YOU? ” YOU CAN SHOUT BACK “HE’S AT MY HOUSE! This is a rare Hanna Barbera SCOOBY-DOOBY DOO animation art maquette, featuring the beloved TV show character. It features Scooby Doo in a particularly humorous pose, with his googly eyes and animated feet. I always loved Scooby Doo, so when I saw this maquette back in the 1990s, I just had to get it. He is the epitome of what I think of when I think of Scooby Doo, and this statue always brought a smile to my face. Even the collar around his neck swings freely. The hand-painted figurine of Scooby Doo is approximately 9″ tall x 7″ long x 5 diameter. He comes in its original box and packaging along with a hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity. It is part of a limited edition of only 500 made and this is #423. Very rare and hard to find. The bottom of the sculpture is also hand-numbered. It was created in 1996. This sculpture was displayed for a short period in a glass curio cabinet, and then dusted off, packaged up in its box and stored in a closet with other animation art. It is in excellent condition and would make a great addition to anyone’s Scooby Doo or Hanna Barbera collection. The box has some wear to it, including a section that appears to have been scrunched. Here’s a little about the piece from the enclosed Certificate of Authenticity. This Limited Edition 3-D Multiple of Scooby Doo was reproduced from a mold directly taken from an original sculpture by Cindy Ramstead. Each Scooby-Dooby Doo has been individually hand-painted. All molds used to create the Limited Edition Scooby-Dooby Doo have been destroyed. This 3-D Multiple was produced in a Limited Edition of 100. This Scooby-Dooby Doo is number 423/500. The master artwork from which this 3-D Multiple was made has been archived at Hanna-Barbera Studios in Hollywood, California. Here’s a little about Scooby-Doo I found on Wikipedia. Scooby-Doo is an American media franchise owned by Warner Bros. Entertainment and created in 1969 by writers Joe Ruby and Ken Spears through their animated series, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! For Hanna-Barbera which was absorbed into Warner Bros. The series features four teenagers: Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, and Shaggy Rogers, and their talking Great Dane named Scooby-Doo, who solve mysteries involving supposedly supernatural creatures through a series of antics and missteps, while traveling using a brightly colored van called the “Mystery Machine”. The franchise has several live-action films and shows. Scooby-Doo was originally broadcast on CBS from 1969 to 1976, when it moved to ABC. ABC aired various versions of Scooby-Doo until canceling it in 1986, and presented a spin-off featuring the characters as children called A Pup Named Scooby-Doo from 1988 until 1991. Two Scooby-Doo reboots aired as part of Kids’ WB on The WB and its successor The CW from 2002 until 2008. Further reboots were produced for Cartoon Network beginning in 2010 and continuing through 2018. Repeats of the various Scooby-Doo series are frequently broadcast on Cartoon Network’s sister channel Boomerang in the United States and other countries. The most recent Scooby-Doo series, Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? Premiered on June 27, 2019, as an original series on Boomerang’s streaming service and later HBO Max.
