Acetates like this were (sometimes still are) cut in the studio for the band, the producers, engineers, etc. To listen to the playback of a track after it has been transferred from final mix tapes, to approximate how it will sound on / translate to vinyl. They are incredibly rare, and generally only a handful are ever made in the first place… Let alone how many exist 50 years after the fact. This could quite possibly be the only surviving one. And its of arguably their most important song, Paranoid, the song that really broke heavy metal through to the masses. If you are a huge Sabbath fan or collector, then this is a very unique opportunity to get an incredibly important part of their history. And heres your opportunity to own as close back to the band in the studio recording it as possible. Acetates are very delicate and fragile, and therefore should be handled and cared for accordingly. I listened to it once, shortly after acquiring it, and it sounded great. And it has been very well taken care of and stored since then. Its time for someone to care for this incredibly important piece of metal history for awhile though, so Im offering it up for sale.
