This is an extremely rare vintage Japanese robe featuring many great classic cartoon characters. All the biggest names are here – Betty Boop, Mickey Mouse, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Pluto, Flip the Frog, and Bosko. Bosko is never on anything! I believe it is a yukata which is like a kimono. Based on the characters, I judge it likely to be made sometime in the 1930s. Of course there is wear from age throughout, with yellowing, staining on interior, many insect holes, and thinning fabric. Really amazing that it survived so well for all these years. See photos for condition. Feel free to ask any questions.
