AN ETCHING IS A PRINTING TECHNIQUE. OLD MASTERS LIKE REMBRANDT WORKED WITH THIS CENTURIES OLD HAND-PRINTING TECHNIQUE. A STEEL ENGRAVING NEEDLE IS USED TO CREATE THE DESIGN ON A ZINC OR COPPER PLATE.
