1989 Batman and Joker Statue Warner Bros by Artist Kent Melton Extremely Rare Artist Proof Example. These two statues were produced in very limited numbers… These are insanely rare Batman collectibles. These were the very first statues produced for the 1989 Batman movie and release by the Warner bros studio available only through the catalog. These are the artist proof examples by Artist Kent Melton who has since past. I also have a message from Kent Melton himself who shared some history on these two statues. Thanks for your interest in my Batman and Joker sculptures. At the time Warner Brothers hired me to sculpt them the top secret costumes weren’t completely finished yet so I was given concept drawings of them along with publicity photos of both actors from previous films to combine for reference. At that time the schedule for the premiere issue release for the Warner Catalog was already set and so they required that both sculptures be completed within a one week deadline in time to be photographed and at the last minute be added to the catalog. I have personally signed them both. The Batman (Michael Keaton) and The Joker (Jack Nicholson). Limited Edition statues from 1989’s Batman the Movie by Kent Melton AP (Artist Proof) examples (Warner Brothers, 1989). Almost impossible to find, and with amazing detail, these statues are made of “Cultured Marble”. When it comes to character related, statue figure collectables, it doesn’t get any better than these. Batman is 9? Tall and Joker is 8.5? Tall. The facial details are amazing – you can see Michael Keaton’s lips and chin peaking out of the Batman cowl and Jack Nicholson is all over that Joker smirk.
