Black Sabbath “Paranoid” on WB 1887, a rare white label promotional pressing. The vinyl is in VG- condition, many marks and scuffs, some of the marks are lightly feelable. It does play with background which is especially noticeable during quieter passages. It could use a good professional cleaning. Purple Rain Test Press. I was given this in the 1980s by a friend who worked in the music business. I never played it at the time, as I bought a copy. Original late 1930s/early 1940s WWII Incredible Chinese Style Hat! This hat is from my own personal collection, which has been exhibited in Museums, Fashion Shows and has also appeared on the Antiques Roadshow. Sadly, lack of space is reluctantly forcing sale of part of my collection. This is the only hat I’ve ever seen that looks like this. It is not for the faint hearted; you really have to have hutzpah to wear it. I did wear it, to Twinwood, and got so many admirers from it and made some amazing friends too! The real magic lies in the label. Way back in the late 1930s, Warner Brothers – the film studios – found a way of increasing their revenue and encouraging more ticket sales in the cinema. The label proudly announces “An original Studio Styles by Warner Brothers Designing Staff, Hollywood”. This makes it an ultra special and rare hat. In all the years of collecting, I have maybe seen about half a dozen of these WWII beauties and I bought 2 of them – this one and a sister also listed. Sadly, I haven’t been able to identify categorically which film this hat appeared in; the one that readily springs to mind is the Charlie Chan series as inspiration – however, those films were made by Fox, not Warners. If anyone can guess or knows for certain, then please let me know! Condition is Used – this is in fair to good vintage condition. Amazingly, there are no marks or discolourations on the inner band from make up but I’m afraid it does have an issue. The label itself is quite discoloured – not a major consideration though as you are not wearing that on the outside! The problem lies with the manufacture of the hat itself. When you block a felt hat, it is wet and stretched by hand onto a block. Unfortunately, this hat was not stretched evenly and this resulted in an area of the felt that is very thin. If you run your fingers inside and outside at the same time, you can feel the differing thicknesses of the felt. Over the years, this has resulted in a hole appearing in the front of the hat. It is not a glaring hole – in fact, because the hat is black, you probably would not even see it when it is being worn. Nonetheless, it is there – so this beautiful old lady needs looking after. This hat is so rare that this fault can be overlooked. It can be repaired but only by an expert milliner – please (unless of course you are that milliner) do not attempt it yourself if you have no knowledge of what to do. This is one of those hats that is a real wrench for me to part with! My price takes into account the issue. Please remember that this item is almost 80 years old and as such is a vintage item going towards antique. It may have an odour – which all vintage clothing acquires over time. I do not believe in shoving fabric conditioner sheets in with items – this does run the risk of damage on delicate garments and frankly, I much prefer the honest fragrance of a timeless piece rather than some hideous chemically induced smell. This item has had a previous life and at least two previous owners! If you want something that is pristine, then this item is not for you. Please examine the images carefully before committing yourself and if in any doubt, please ask questions. I do, in the interests of the environment, reuse clean packaging wherever possible. The carrier will normally be Hermes and is sent signed for – I rarely use the post office unless for a very small parcel. In 1974 Kiss released their debut white label promo album (1974 Casablanca Records Inc) and inside was their first promo poster 1974 Casablanca Records, Printed in the U. A (as you see here) to radio stations to advertise the band. This is the complete set just as it was sent out then. This is a once in a lifetime find, and an investment to have to complete your kiss collection. Let these 2 items never be separated again. Both items are completely authentic. Over 45 yrs later you may find one or the other but not both like this and in this condition. Other than a test pressing, this is one of the most rarest kiss records of all time. This is their 1974 first release promotional copy without the song “Kissin Time” and it was manufactured and distributed by Warner Bros. This was sent out to radio stations which resulted in their unique showmanship, success, and popularity today. For its age, the vinyl is in Excellent Condition with clean labels, and sounds great (view photos). Engineered and Recorded October 1973. The cover is graded as VG+ with no splits and has the bright and clean Warner Bros. (See Photo) It has some edge, minor dents and minimal ring wear. 198 is written in back side. Comes with original plain white inner sleeve. The owner passed away and the wife still had all the merchandise stored away in her home for over 30yrs. The Poster was stored flat and left alone. The Poster is graded in Excellent condition and was manufactured folded in 6th’s as you see in the photos and was inserted in the record album cover. It measures 35″ X 23″. The 4 corners are still sharp with no pinholes or tape residue. On the left middle side there’s some light crinkles. There is also faint writing on the upper left backside. Also this is not an thin offset print or xerox copy, but an original printing on thick printed paper which was used back then. After all these yrs later the poster still holds its vibrant color and eye appeal. Don’t miss this opportunity of a lifetime to have the complete 1974 First promo set. There will never be a band like Kiss again. They set the mark of originality of a Rock band and marketing. Kiss will always be Gene, Peter, Ace and Paul. This is one of the most rarest kiss records of all time. This is their 1974 first release on Warner Bros. This was sent out to radio stations which resulted in their popularity today. The condition on the vinyl looks really good (vg to vg+) and clean just superficial light scuffs, and the label is vg+ no writings or marks, look at the photos and decide. The cover would be graded in my opinion a vg, most obvious the promo stick is beautiful and bright, also the cover has a nice sheen shine and very light ring wear on both sides, but the opening seems to be separating just a little(see photo), wanted to mention that. The spine is intact with no tears just light scratches as you can see. For any other information on grading just message me and I can send additional photos and will respond quickly.
