Rare alpa sylvester, looney tunes. He stands at approx. He has crazing most noticeable on the face. Cork is broken (can only be noticed if you remove it) chip on his right whiskers, and left foot, rough spots and what looks like a waxy substance on back of head, please see all photos as i try to show you everything as best i can. The Batman (Michael Keaton) and The Joker (Jack Nicholson). Limited Edition statues from 1989’s Batman the Movie by Kent Melton #37/50 (Warner Brothers, 1989). Almost impossible to find, and with amazing detail, these statues are made of “Cultured Marble”. When it comes to character related, statue figure collectables, it doesn’t get any better than these. Batman is 9″ tall and Joker is 8.5″ tall. These were seen in the Warner Bros catalog handout given in line at the. Premier screening of the 1989 movie. The facial details are amazing – you can see Michael Keaton’s lips and chin peaking out of the Batman cowl and Jack Nicholson is all over that Joker smirk. There are only 50 of them made and they each were sculpted, hand painted and signed by Kent Melton. My brother had a copy of the catalog and ordered them and he got them! Item Condition: Great shape! You will see the. Batman has his ears and Joker’s cane is intact. No damage or repairs. These are two perfect. These two statues were stored in my Brother’s house and there was a fire and his house was a total loss. Fortunately, these two items were locked away in his safe and only got smoke soot on the outside of the boxes. There is no other fire damage on the. The statues are in near mint. Condition and have been only displayed on rare. You will not find these items anywhere. On top of that I will package these two in a big more secure box. I will package these guys very well. Ltd Editon no 210 The Kid (Bugs as Charlie Chaplin). Bugs Bunny The Kid Released 1997 – Edition Size 500 – Hand Signed by Chuck Jones – Limited Edition Cel – with hand painted coloring on sericel outline. Measures Approx: 19 x 21 Framed. Condition of artwork and signature is mint. The frame has some age related light marks although still displays beautifully. As a child, Chuck Jones lived close to the United Artists backlot and he would sit at the fence and watch Charlie Chaplin make movies. Jones said that he could never understand why Chaplin did the same take over and over again until he himself was creating animated movies. Chuck Jones (September 21, 1912 – February 22, 2002) was born in Spokane, Washington but grew up in Hollywood, California where he was inspired by the comedic talents and slapstick humor of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton. As a child, he occasionally worked as an extra in Mac Sennett comedies. Jones graduated from Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles (now California Institute of the Arts). In 1932, Jones got his first job as a cel washer for Ubbe Iwerks, a former Disney Animator. , after being hired by Friz Freleng as an animator. Once the animation branch of Warner Bros. Closed, Jones briefly worked for Disney before moving to MGM where he created new episodes of Tom and Jerry and directed features such as The Dot and the Line, which went on to win an Academy Award for Animated Short Film. Frog Model Sheet (1995). Hand Painted Limited Edition Cel. Frog, from the classic Chuck Jones cartoon “One Froggy Evening”. Considering the fact that this rangy reptile appeared in only this one theatrical short, his success and recognizability are nothing short of phenominal. This cel and model sheet background capture many of the key poses and attitudes of the character chosen to serve as mascot for the Warner Bros. In the world of animation, a model sheet is a collection of drawings of a specific character used to show his varying attitudes and characteristics. This cel began with a master inking (from the animation) which was then silk-screened onto an acetate sheet (or “cel”) along with the Warner Bros. Each cel was then expertly hand-painted on the reverse side. The background drawings were adapted from an original Michigan J. Frog model sheet from Warner Bros. The edition number was hand-inked on each cel in a special edition size of only 750, released in 1995. Upon completion of the edition, the original artwork was archived. Each piece measures 16″ inches across x 13″ inches in height (unframed). It is applied to a Fine Art lithographic background.
