“Whats Up Folks” This is a very rare After The Original Painting Serigraph By Chuck Jones Warner Bros inc. The title of the painting is “Bugs Bunny And Baby Bunny” and was produced in 1984. This is cool for two Main reasons if you look in the lower right bottom you will see a Stamp. This variation is RARE I have quite a few Chuck Jones prints but this G crowned stamp is new to me how many of you have seen this? . So I dug further into the piece and it’s appearing these were really important Gallery Prints and originally set in an edition of only 500. But wait you see it says 1500 well this was at first /500 expected to be given to workers ect UNSIGNED and LIMITED ONLY. But later due to demand of more people wanting one also was marked with a 1 in front of the 500. Just look you will see OLD ORIGINAL ink by PEN exactly stated as 255/500. Look closer to see even the OLD SLASH MARK HIGH ABOVE THE 500 in PEN. Then later Chuck Jones grabbed all 500 and used a marker to add a NEW DARKER SEPARATION SLASH AND A DARKER 1. This piece will will need to be reframed as the frame is lose, top corners coming apart but it will be wrapped so it will not come apart during transport. Also the glass is dirty on the reverse side light spots on glass barley noticeable it’s been in this very frame since 1984, the backing paper is torn an easy fix this is depicted in photos this piece deserves to be in your Chuck Jones collection as it is the closest thing to the PAINTING and not ONLY A CEL. Just think of this fact also how many of your collector friends will have seen or have one of these? The measurements are as follows H-19.25″ x W-16.25″ (Framed). This fine piece of art is in overall good condition but has not been examined out of the frame once again original frame but refer to posted pictures truly AMAZING.
