Rare Vintage 20 Chalkware Bugs Bunny Carnival Piggy Bank. Excellent condition stamped “Warner Brothers Pictures” 1940’s. Terrific condition no damage 20 chalkware bank has no cracks, breaks, chips or repairs beautiful airbrushed finish and colors with only some very minor wear (see pictures). 20″ x 6″ x 6¼. D E S C R I P T I O N. This is a beautifully rendered vintage chalkware Bug Bunny savings / piggy bank made by Warner Brothers Pictures in the 1940’s. This chalkware bank is quite large; measuring 20″ tall, 6″ wide and 6¼ deep and weighing 2½ kgs. This highly decorative chalkware bank depicts an earlier version of Bugs Bunny that features a gorgeous design with lovely airbrushed finish throughout. The details and colors are incredible including grey and white airbrushed body, pink accents on the cheeks, mouth and ears, yellow accents on the eyes, bright orange carrot and gold colored base with “Bugs Bunny” written on the front. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. The backside has a circular white spot near the bottom (see picture 8) that was designed to be opened (to remove the coins inside once the bank is full) but it has never been fully opened. The rest of the bank is in super condition with bright and vivid colors and only some minor age wear to speak of. There is green felt on the underside. The side of Bug Bunny’s right foot is stamped “Warner Brothers Pictures”. This is a wonderful example of this collectable vintage chalkware bank that can fit into a variety of different collections: Animation characters, carnival toys, loony toons, savings banks, chalkware statues, vintage toy etc..
