These were the very first statues produced for the 1989 Batman movie and release by the Warner bros studio available only through the catalog. At the time Warner Brothers hired me to sculpt them the top secret costumes weren’t completely finished yet so I was given concept drawings of them along with publicity photos of both actors from previous films to combine for reference. At that time the schedule for the premiere issue release for the Warner Catalog was already set and so they required that both sculptures be completed within a one week deadline in time to be photographed and at the last minute be added to the catalog. I have personally signed them both. The Batman (Michael Keaton) and The Joker (Jack Nicholson).
