The Warner Bros Cast Iron Silhouette Tom and Jerry limited edition 326/1200 by Tex Welch in 1997 is a unique collectible piece featuring iconic characters from the Hanna Barbera franchise. Made of cast iron and designed as a shadow sculpture, this item showcases the classic Tom and Jerry rivalry. With dimensions of approximately 12 inches in length and 7 inches in height. Why it’s rare. While Tex Welch started designing this silhouette series for the Warner Bros. Studio Store Gallery in 1992, the store did not acquire the direct retail licensing rights for Hanna-Barbera until slightly later in the decade. The 1997 release window places this Tom and Jerry piece right at the peak of the WB Studio Store’s popularity, right before the retail chain began scaling back operations. Finding these 1997 Hanna-Barbera variants completely intact is exceptionally difficult because they had an incredibly short retail shelf life compared to the older, standard Looney Tunes models that were restocked for years.
